Article is devoted to the research of modification of bicyclic bisurea, i.e. glycoluril, for the purpose of synthesis of its acetylated and phosphorylated derivatives. Optimal conditions for the reaction were chosen. For the first time phosphorylation of 1,4-bis(bromacetyl)tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-d]imidazole-2,5(1H,3H)-dione by means of triethylphosphite was carried out; so [(2,5-dioxohexahydroimidazo[4,5-d]imidazole-1,4-diyl)bis(2-oxoethane-2,1-diyl)]bis(diethylphosphonate and [(2,5-dioxohexahydroimidazo[4,5-d]imidazole-1,4-diyl)bis(2-oxoethane-2,1-diyl)]bis(diethylphosphonic acid were synthesized. The structures of all novel synthesized derivatives of glycoluril were established and confirmed by IR-, NMR-, and mass- spectra data, and physical constants.
